“There are simple choices and hard choices. To live my life through music and art was simply not a choice... We are what we are. My existence came around musically, that's all...”

André's musical life became at the age of 5, by watching his older brothers playing the piano. After that, came over 20 years of playing, studying and messing around with sounds and words.

With 18 years old, André was accepted at Santa Marcelina College, in São Paulo, Brazil to study Composition and Conducting. After a couple of years, he transferred to Berklee College of Music, in Boston, MA, graduating in Film Scoring & Composition, “Magna Cum Lauda”.

At Berklee, André won the Alf Clausen Award, for his outstanding performance at the school.

“I always wanted to take my experiences back home”, André says, when asked about his return to Brazil, where he opened a recording studio, production company and label, called “Ultra-sonica Productions” (www.ultra-sonica.com).

With Ultra-sonica began André's professional life and, in 5 years, he found himself partner of one of Brazil's most respected studios, having produced many important bands of the Brazilian music scene, such as Viper and Leões de Israel, demonstrating his wide musical range, drawn from Rock, Blues, Soul, Reggae, Classical Music, Film Scoring and so goes.

At his 29th birthday, André's artistic side was revealed, with the release of Flow, his first Solo album.

“I want to share this side of mine. I like producing, but I was born to create. This is what we were talking about before...”, he laughs.
Besides being a musician, André also devotes his time to practice Yoga, acting, directing theater and writting poetry – Mostly in portuguese, unfortunately.
